Mehnaz Begum (1958–2013) was a renowned Pakistani playback singer, celebrated in the 1970s and 1980s. Trained by Mehdi Hassan and Pandit Ghulam Qadir, she gained fame for her melodious voice and versatility across genres like ghazal, thumri, dadra, and classical forms. Daughter of legendary singer Kajjan Begum, Mehnaz also excelled in singing nohas, marsiyas, and light classical music for TV. She received multiple Nigar Awards, leaving a lasting legacy in Pakistani music.
