Ghulam Ali Khan Biography
Ustad Ghulam Ali (born 5 December 1940) is a legendary Pakistani ghazal singer from the Patiala Gharana and a disciple of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. Renowned for blending Hindustani classical music with ghazals, he is celebrated across South Asia and among global diasporas. Famous for timeless ghazals like Chupke Chupke Raat Din, Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, and Kal Chaudhvin Ki Raat Thi, his music has also enriched Bollywood soundtracks. In 2014, his album Hasratein earned a Best Ghazal Album nomination at the Star GIMA Awards. Despite political controversies in 2015, he performed in Lucknow, Delhi, and other Indian cities, further solidifying his global legacy.
