Salma Agha  Biography

Salma Agha (born 29 October 1954) is a British singer and actress known for her work in Pakistani and Indian films during the 1980s and early 1990s. Raised in London, she received several offers from Indian directors and debuted in Nikaah (1982) as the female lead, also singing several songs for the film. She was nominated for Filmfare Awards in both the Best Actress and Best Female Playback Singer categories, winning the latter. Salma is also remembered for her role in Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki (1984) alongside Mithun Chakraborty and her iconic song “Come Closer.”
