Tahira Syed Biography
Tahira Syed (born 1958, Lahore) is a renowned Pakistani ghazal and folk singer known for her songs in Urdu, Punjabi, Dogri, and Pahari. She began her career in 1968–1969 on Radio Pakistan and later performed on Pakistan Television. Some of her famous songs include “Yeh Alam Shauq Ka Dekha na Jaey,” “Chanjar Phabdi Na Mutiar Bina,” and “Abhi Tau Main Jawan Houn.” She received the Pakistan Television Lifetime Achievement Award and the Pride of Performance Award in 2013. Syed continues to perform at international events, including tributes to Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
